I was born in Redruth and spent my early years in Camborne before I married in 1987 to my husband Martin. In 1990 we moved to North Wales for 6 years with his job and enjoyed the mountains and rural life that Snowdonia had to offer. We returned to Cornwall in 1995 and settled in Redruth. We have two children, 25 and 19. One having obtained her maths degree at Exeter University and now working at Truro College and one undertaking a 4 year advanced apprenticeship at Pall.
I have worked in an administration setting over the past 30 years, primarily working in the law setting, private Solicitors and then with Cornwall Council in the Legal Department. For 6 years I was employed as a Teaching Assistant at a local Junior School which I thoroughly enjoyed and had a great relationship with the young people and the team around me.
I started at White Gold Cornwall as the Administrator in February 2015 which was initially to cover sick leave, which then became permanent. My current position is Finance Manager and I am loving the challenge which the new role provides.
I am a committed christian and attend Redruth Baptist Church. I also enjoy walking and spending time with my family and friends. I also enjoy running and have taken up paddle-boarding!!!
