On Monday, November 17th, 2025, our CEO, Alan Milliner, had the distinct pleasure of attending a remarkable event: the Cornwall Marine Network and Members Celebration of 5,000 Jobs Created. The prestigious occasion took place aboard the impressive HMS Scott (H131), berthed at Falmouth Docks, making for a truly memorable evening.

The Cornwall Marine Network, under the leadership of CEO Paul Wickes and Chair of Board Peter Childes, has achieved an incredible milestone, bringing significant growth and prosperity to our county. The creation of 5,000 jobs is not just a number; it represents countless opportunities, thriving careers, and a strengthened local economy. This monumental effort has also drawn an impressive £17 million into Cornwall, a testament to the network’s dedication and impact.

Over 70 guests gathered to celebrate this achievement, enjoying an evening of camaraderie and recognition. We extend our sincere thanks to Commander Brett for graciously hosting this special event on the magnificent HMS Scott. It was an honour to be part of such a pivotal moment, highlighting the vibrant future of Cornwall’s marine industry.
