Knuckles for a Cause: Nick Takes on Ultra White-Collar Boxing for White Gold!

We are incredibly proud to celebrate the amazing achievement of Nick Courage, who recently stepped into the ring for an Ultra White-Collar Boxing match to raise vital funds for White Gold Cornwall.

After weeks of gruelling, intense training and strict discipline, Nick put on an incredible performance during his March fight. But the real victory was his phenomenal fundraising effort. Thanks to the overwhelming generosity of everyone who supported him, Nick managed to raise an astonishing £635.00 via his GiveStar page!

White Gold Cornwall provides life-changing, bespoke 1:1 mentoring support for vulnerable, at-risk, and disadvantaged young people across Cornwall. Right now, the charity is seeing a dramatic increase in referrals with no available funding. Every single penny Nick raised from this fight goes directly toward providing vital mentoring sessions to these un-funded young people who need them most.

In His Own Words

Nick wanted to share his motivation and experience with everyone:

“Rehabilitating from a recent sports injury, and with the New Year as a reset point, I wanted and needed a physical and mental challenge—something I could fully commit to in the lead-up to fight night in March.

Boxing is a sport I’ve followed since I trained as a junior but never competed in… until now. Given my connection to White Gold Cornwall and the county, dedicating my fundraising agreement to this was an easy choice to make and an opportunity to do something good.

I’d actively encourage anyone to undertake this experience. It has been an incredibly constructive and positive outlet—for improving both physical and mental wellbeing and health, overcoming setbacks, and character building. ‘Exhaust the body, tame the mind.’“

Round 2: The Fight Continues!

Nick isn’t stopping at just one win for Cornwall’s youth. He is already back in the gym and right in the middle of his next training camp for a second fight on July 18th!
