On Wednesday 24th June, White Gold Cornwall was proud to be represented at the High Sheriff’s Garden Party by our CEO, Alan, who attended the event on behalf of the charity.

Hosted by the current High Sheriff, Harriet Hills, the garden party brought together organisations, community leaders and public service representatives from across Cornwall. During the event, Harriet warmly welcomed guests and paid tribute to the police officers and staff who have gone above and beyond in their service to our communities.

The occasion also provided a valuable opportunity to reconnect with many organisations that White Gold Cornwall has worked alongside over the years, strengthening existing partnerships and making new connections that will help us continue supporting vulnerable children and young people across Cornwall.

The event took place during one of the hottest weeks of the year, with temperatures soaring throughout the afternoon. Despite the challenging conditions, Alan was delighted to represent White Gold Cornwall and take part in such a special occasion.

Reflecting on the day, Alan said:

“It was a pleasure to meet so many representatives from organisations that White Gold Cornwall either has or continues to work with. Events like these are a great reminder of the strength of Cornwall’s voluntary and community sector. If only we could have turned the thermostat down a tad!”
