Right Honourable MP George Eustice nominated Alan Milliner MBE, CEO of White Gold Cornwall as a Local Community Safety Champion. The service provided by the White Gold team extends across the whole of our county and works closely with many agencies to support vulnerable children and young people. Alan attended No.10 Downing Street, Whitehall, London on 5^th December 2023, and the reception was hosted by the Minister of State for Security Tom Tugendhat. There were other individuals, organisations from across the UK being recognised and with their nominating MP, which for us was George Eustice. In addition Andrew Hichens Station Commander at Hayle TRI Emergency Service Station had been nominated. It was an honour to be included with Andrew to represent Cornwall. The service provided by Andrew and his team is groundbreaking, something we can be proud of as a county.

The Minister of Security Tom Tugendhat was very complimentary to everyone present recognising the value of what the combined work of everyone present contributes to the security of our nation.

At the end of the reception Alan, Andrew and George had a photo together on the steps of No.10 to recognise the Cornish contribution!
