Geoff Tate

After London University I trained as a teacher and worked in further education. Later I was an Education Officer with Cornwall County Council and then Assistant Chief Executive. I had particular interests in Community Safety and Youth Offending Services.

My work with Services for Young People taught me how much could be achieved by intervention and support of the right kind; so when I was given a chance to come onto the White Gold Advisory Board it was a great chance to continue with that. White Gold strives to help young people make the most of themselves. Now that White Gold Cornwall is a charity I am pleased to become a Trustee.

I enjoy travelling, especially to see family in Italy and also work in Cornwall with the St Petroc’s for the single homeless community.
