Heather Sharp

Hello, my name is Heather and I moved to Cornwall in the summer of 2023 with my 2 young children, and our cat Winstone.
I lived in the Cotswolds for over 30 years and my previous job was a Senior Support Worker in a children’s residential home. This gave me a great insight, knowledge, and underearning of working with young people from all walks of life. It enhanced my passion for working with young people and striving to create wonderful memories and life chances they may not have previously had. I am also a qualified Girl Guide Leader and ran the local village unit for several years.
I love the outdoors, I am a qualified lowland leader and also enjoy going on hikes and stomping up big mountains, whatever the weather! I have a passion for horses and at any opportunity I have I enjoy to go on long hacks and galloping on the beach. I also love to go sea swimming, Paddle Boarding, and Surfing – although not great at it, I’m not afraid to give it ago not matter how silly I can look!
I strongly believe in the values of equality and diversity and for individuals to be given the same life opportunities as anyone else and to be able to empower people, for them to feel self belief and self worth. I feel very privileged to work for White Gold Cornwall and the individuals they support.
