Howard Stevens

I am a member of the White Gold Cornwall Advisory Board and a retired Detective Inspector. I spent all of my 30 years Police Service within Cornwall and became involved in many drug and alcohol diversion programmes with my now White Gold colleagues Bob Crossland and John Cousins.

Since my retirement I have been involved in delivering off road motorcycle training and maintenance programmes to young people in recovery from drug and alcohol issues. To deliver such training I am a National Trials Instructor and Assessor, a professional motorcycle technician and a qualified member of the Engineering Council UK. My lifelong sport is motorcycle trials and I am the Chairman of the Camborne and Redruth Motorcycle Club where I personally run the Cornwall Oset Championship this caters for young riders between 4-12 years riding electric trials bikes, this is a great introduction to the sport and is brilliant to see their skills riding over rocks, rivers and of course glorious mud.

I am particularly pleased to be a small part of White Gold Cornwall and assist the great work that is being achieved in supporting and developing vulnerable young people here in Cornwall.
