Joel Daruvalla

I was born in Truro, attended Truro School and completed an IT course at Truro College. So I can safely say I am a Truro boy through and through!

I then went on to Study IT at Exeter University and began to go ‘off the rails’ resulting in an uncompleted degree. I fell into a circle of poor life choices for several years, yet came to Faith in my early twenties. My life was turned around and I am now the Youth Pastor of a local church and am a Personal IT Tutor. I now have a wonderful wife and a baby on the way!

I believe my intimate and first hand knowledge of the troubles that life can give has given me a real heart for people that are struggling and a genuine vested interest in rehabilitation and just being there for people – no matter who they are or what they’ve done. I have many people to thank for supporting me during my checkered past and I can’t wait to be that person for others.
