Simon Glanville

I was born and raised in Cornwall and, not only do I live here, but I can speak Cornish as well. I currently live in West Cornwall with my beautiful wife, my youngest step son, and our 4 dogs, Chip, Lily, Bear and Cutie (the Jack Russell boss!), Popcorn the cat and Ziggy, Marley, Curly, Bruno, Toffee and Caramel the guinea pigs so as you can see, I’m very much an animal lover.

I am very much a people person and enjoy making a positive difference to other people’s lives whether that includes a simple hello, a laugh and a joke, listening to them, or helping towards them reaching their full potential. I have experience in several areas of work including support work, retail, and Street Pastoring which has enabled me to see what life can throw at us from all angles.

I do a lot of music in my spare time which includes playing in a brass band, singing in a male voice choir, teaching music and accompanying a local choir, as well as being a peripatetic church organist (I play the organ in various churches in the local area). I also enjoy a lot of walking and pretty much anything to do with railways, but particularly heritage and old disused railways and a bit of cooking and baking with my wife.
