Stuart Lloyd

I was born and raised in Shropshire and have lived and worked in Derbyshire, the North East and South Wales before finally settling down in the best County in the UK, where I have lived for the past 18 years. I live with my wife Liz, two teenage sons, our cats (Molly & Toby), our rats (Icky and Tio) and border collie Jet.

My career has been varied and I have enjoyed the variety of different challenges over the years. After leaving school at 16, I followed in my father’s footsteps and became a vehicle mechanic, enjoying the next 10 years tinkering with all sorts of vehicles, but especially enjoying working on motorbikes. From there I took a right turn and studied Environmental Management at University before becoming a project manager in the telecommunications industry. 2007 was a big year for our family as it marked both the birth of our first son and the opening of our business, a children’s day nursery, which Liz and I ran together until 2021.

During my spare time I love to be outdoors and particularly enjoy long walks with Jet, water sports and regularly sail, paddleboard and swim. I am also learning to speak Spanish and studying a course in integrative counselling.
